Post Title. 04/11/2008
 

So this is the new member of our family. Brandie! She is 5 months old, weighs 7lbs 6 oz. and so far is a joy to have around. She came potty trained to a pee pad- her old home had no carpet so a soft pee pad was where she knew to go- Guess what? I have carpet. What was I thinking? We have only had one accident but I am in over my head. I feel it. I have no idea how to train a dog. ( people tell me it is easy and just takes time) Her previous owner says she was very easy to train before she will be again. I guess I am doubting myself. What if I can't do it? Then what? I don't want her doing her thing all over the house- I know she is a dog! But oh me!!!

The kids are in love with her. We had to take her to school today to show their teachers. I think she is already spoiled.

I think the time to worry about whether you can potty-train her has passed. I don't think your kids are going to give you the option of getting rid of her.
