One week from today we will begin Vacation Bible School. I have so much to do this week. It is nice to know that I can delegate some of it out... I just need to write it all down and get busy. Last week, we went to another church who was doing the same VBS and they gave us all of their decorations... which is awesome. But they did a great VBS. It made me very excited. I know now I just need to get busy.
So the goal for today is make a day by day list of what needs to be done, delegate what I can and get busy.
Jason is gone to Flordia. I was expecting the dog to bark all night, she did for about 15 minutes- then she went to sleep and didn't make a peep until 8 this morning. PTL! Getting a good night of sleep was just what I needed. Jason will return on Friday. I miss him when he is gone. 2 of the kids cried last night as they went to bed for him. It is a big deal for us for him to be gone. He is pretty important around here.
Yesterday at church Jay, our new youth pastor preached. He did a great job. He talked about building community in our church, and a personal relationship with Jesus and how those two work together. It was a great message.I didn't get to hear it all so I am going to listen to the rest of it on the podcast.
I am really working on my schedule, and making sure I don't burn out. There just seems to be a lot going on at once. I know this is just a busy time of the year and I need to make sure I am taking care of myself, so that I can be effective in all of my jobs. (mom, wife, Family connection Pastor, sister, friend, daughter, well you get the picture.)
I am off to now to get VBS ready to go to be the best BreakPointe has seen. Have a blessed week!
