I can't believe it has been so long since I have blogged. School has started, the marriage retreat is one month away, the church fall stuff starts next week.
The kids really like school so far. Mornings are good around here. We haven't had to drag any kids out of bed by their toes yet... i am sure given time we will have to do this. Jason and I say every night before we go to bed, we will get up in the morning and go to the gym. ( we have yet to actually do this- but we have good intentions!) So we think we need to work out- ok we know we need to work out. We know that we have not been taking care of ourselves- and the older we get the harder it is to get in shape. So that being said, we are going to get up in the morning and work out ( at least that is the plan )
Jason is busy as ever trying to keep up with his job, and the intrim worship pastor at church. He has really enjoyed the experience of leading worship. he takes it very seriously. I love his approach on worship. He feels strongly that when you get up on Sunday morning , you are there to lead the people to worship the most Holy God. and he has done an excellent job, I am proud to be his wife. His full time job at Community America, keeps him very busy as well. He loves his new role as the Director and is learning how to be a better and wiser leader. I have enjoyed watching God move in his life.
It is September of an election year- that means I am ready for November. I will say this I was very impressed with Sarah Palin. I think she is a great woman. The thing I hate is the mud slinging. I wish we could have an election with out that. Both sides clean election- you know the old saying "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" Oh well. I will brace myself for the months to come.
I am very excited about the great things happening at BreakPointe. We are getting ready to vote on our new building and break ground at the end of the month. It is exciting times. I love talking to all the new people who come through our doors. I love hearing their stories, and seeing how God is moving. I am really excited about the parenting class we are going to teach starting next week. It is called Effective parenting in a deffective world. I watched the first session and it was powerful. I am such a strong advocate of families. I think we need to be more supportive of families. There very core of our nation has been built on families. I pray for all familes that I come into contact with. For the single dads that come through our doors, to the the single moms, to the 2 parent homes. They all have different challenges and joys. Hang in there! Keep trusting and keep praying. Your family is important, and the job you do is important!
I must go to bed. Tomorrow is another busy day!
