You know what I think the hardest part of blogging is- coming up with a title! Today the choices were "ther ramblings of a blonde" the ramblings of a mom" the ramblings of a Family Pastor or maybe the ramblings of wife. I couldn't come up with one... so you can!
This week has been so busy. It started last Wednesday and has not let up since. I don't know if any of you have seen the skit performed by Nicole Johnson ( women of faith speaker) but anyway she does a skit about all the hats she wears. I have a mom hat, a wife hat, a pastor hat, a sister hat, a daughter hat, a friend hat, the maid hat, the laundry lady hat... you get the idea! There are alot of things that keep us busy. All the time. So I am behind on a lot of things right now. Laundry, cleaning, spending time with my kids and husband.
so this weekend my goal is to get caught up!! I have a list and i am going to torture my whole family as we mark things off of the list. Except for my husband who will be playing golf again with work tomorrow. ( I am not bitter- i really don't mind he has played golf 4 times in the last week for work- and that he will play golf again tomorrow and leave me with the long to do list. I am not bitter, I am not bitter I am not bitter) He gets paid to play golf... what a job! Serisously- I am thankful for his job, and thanful they pay for all these rounds of golf!
We also have some fun things planned for the weekend. we all know all work and no play is not good. So tonight we will head up to my mom's to see my Granny and to listen to Jason's band play. Tomorrow evening we are getting together with old friends and grilling out at a park. So after i work my children's fingers to the bone tomorrow, I will let them play.
The marriage retreat is 2 weeks away! YIKES!!! I still have some details to work out. And i am still getting couples requesting info. The deadline is past but I keep extending it. Thinking just maybe out of these calls, some of them might come. So... the next two weeks, I need to finalize all the details, get some donations, go to business and ask for things. It is crunch time!!!
This is going long enough. Someday I will share with you some of the amazing things God is doing in my life. But time is out for now. Work is calling my name. Have a blessed weekend. Enjoy your kids, kiss your spouse, and tell God how thankful you are for your blessings.
